Diaz left Monday's game after getting hit by a bat in the mask while catching, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.
The Pirates released no details as to the injury following the game. Francisco Cervelli, who is on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis, could be recalled in the event Diaz is forced to the IL.
