Hayes is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
Hayes' off day is just his fourth this season. While he's yet to homer this season, he's having a strong year at the plate, hitting .293/.390/.371. He's also added three steals. Michael Perez will start at third base in his absence.
