The Pirates designated Marinaccio for assignment on Monday.
He was acquired less than two weeks ago but lost his spot on the 40-man roster after the Pirates traded for Lake Bachar on Monday. Marinaccio gave up four earned runs in 5.1 innings while pitching out of the Pirates' bullpen.
