Garcia (knee) has been cleared to begin running, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Garcia's 2024 season ended prematurely due to a sprained left patella tendon in his knee. He did not require surgery on the knee and is now ready to go through his normal offseason routine. The expectation is that the 31-year-old will head into spring training without restrictions.
