The Rangers optioned Peoples to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

He's being sent back down to accommodate the return of Robert Garcia (shoulder) from the injured list. Peoples has managed a 2.76 ERA in 16 appearances for the Rangers, but a 10:8 K:BB over 16.1 innings is not inspiring.
