Anderson signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Monday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Anderson was let go by the Red Sox on Thursday and opted for free agency rather than accept an assignment to the minors. The 36-year-old right-hander has worked primarily as a reliever in 2024, accruing a 4.85 ERA and collecting three saves over 52 frames. He figures to report to Triple-A Round Rock and serve as organizational depth with his new club.
