Rangers' Jacob Latz: Slams door for 19th save

Latz secured the save Saturday against Atlanta, throwing 1.1 clean innings. He struck out one.

After beginning the year as a starter and then a setup man, Latz continues to run away with Texas' closing gig. The 30-year-old southpaw has successfully converted 14 consecutive save opportunities, also turning in six straight scoreless outings. Through 46 innings, Latz owns a 1.57 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 47:11 K:BB with 19 saves in 21 attempts.
