Martin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Martin started in left field in each of the past three games, going 3-for-12 with two RBI over that stretch. The lefty-hitting Martin will take a seat Wednesday against a right-hander (Anthony DeSclafani), leaving DJ Peters, Leody Taveras and Adolis Garcia to fill out the outfield from left to right. The Rangers seem committed to giving Taveras and Peters long looks in everyday roles down the stretch, so Martin may have to settle for fourth-outfielder duties in September.
