Foltynewicz (undisclosed) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Sunday.
Foltynewicz has been on the COVID IL since Aug. 23, but he resumed workouts last week and is now back on the active roster. The team hasn't announced the right-hander's role for the final two weeks of the season, but he could fill the vacant spot in the rotation left by Kohei Arihara, who was designated for assignment Sunday in a corresponding move.
