Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
Lowe will hit the bench Sunday after a run of 22 straight starts, during which he posted a .237/.322/.350 slash line with just four extra-base hits. The 29-year-old's bat has been a bit livelier of late, however, as he's gone 7-for-18 with a double and a homer during his ongoing five-game hit streak.
