The Rangers reassigned Tropeano to minor-league camp Monday.
Tropeano joined Texas on a minor-league deal in January after making five appearances at the MLB level in 2021, as he posted a 2.25 ERA in eight innings between the Giants and Mets. Though the 31-year-old possesses previous starting experience at the MLB level, the Rangers may envision him filling a relief role at Triple-A Round Rock to begin the upcoming season.
