The Rangers signed Williams to a one-year contract Tuesday.
Williams was cut loose by the Nationals on Sunday despite posting a 2.65 ERA and 22:6 K:BB over 17 innings. He appears destined for a long relief role with the Rangers, though the veteran righty offers the ability to make some starts down the stretch, if needed.
