The Rangers optioned Santos to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Wednesday.
Winston was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday but did not make an appearance during his latest stint in the majors. The 24-year-old righty made his big-league debut July 1, allowing two runs over two innings in Cleveland, but that will go down as his lone outing with Texas this season barring a return as an injury replacement in the final days of the campaign.
