Langford went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Monday's loss to the Yankees.
Langford brought Texas to within four runs with his two-run blast in the seventh inning. The multi-hit effort was his first in over a week -- the rookie outfielder had gone 3-for-20 over his previous six games. Langford hasn't lived up to the hype that carried many Rookie of the Year predictions prior to the start of the season, but he hasn't completely withered in his first foray against major-league pitching, slashing .244/.314/.377 with nine homers, 56 RBI, 51 runs and 12 stolen bases along with a mature 20.6 percent strikeout rate through 452 plate appearances.
