Boesch signed a minor league contract with the Red Sox on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
The former Rookie of the Year candidate has played just 101 major league games over the past three seasons as a member of the Yankees, Angels, and Reds. Boesch was slowed by an ankle injury in 2015 and was eventually outrighted off the Reds' 40-man roster in October. According to Heyman, Boesch will earn a $1 million salary if he is able to make the major league club this season.
