Vazquez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during a 5-3 loss to the Yankees in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

The catcher briefly gave the Red Sox their only lead of the game when he took Jordan Montgomery deep in the fifth inning for his fifth long ball of the year.
