Sogard started at second base and went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in Monday's 9-5 win over the Royals.
Sogard, who started three of the four games since having his contract selected from Triple-A Worcester, has hit safely in all three contests. The rookie has gone 4-for-12 with two walks, two RBI and three runs scored thus far during his brief time in the majors. As Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) nears the end of his rehab assignment, Sogard's days with the Red Sox could come to end later in the week.
