The Red Sox activated Casas (ribs) from the 60-day injured list Friday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Casas will make his long-awaited return to the major-league roster after missing nearly four months of action with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage. He is starting at first base and batting third in Friday's game in Baltimore.
