Manager Alex Cora said Saturday that Casas (ribs) likely won't return from the 60-day injured list before the Red Sox's homestand ends Wednesday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Casas seems to have physically recovered from the cartilage tear in his ribcage that forced him onto the injured list in April, but he'll remain at Triple-A Worcester for the next several days in order to continue working on his timing at the plate. However, his rehab assignment is set to expire next week, so he should be activated off the 60-day IL sometime during Boston's road series in Baltimore that begins Friday.
