X-rays on Toglia's dislocated right shoulder came back negative, Patrick Brown of MLB.com reports.
Toglia was removed from Friday's loss to the Diamondbacks after extending to make a diving catch in the first inning. The outfielder/first baseman is "optimistic" about his prognosis, while manager Terry Francona said the injury looked worse than it was. "They put it back in, and there's some thought that he might be OK," Francona said. The team's optimism makes the injury more of a day-to-day thing, at least for now. Toglia was replaced in left field by TJ Friedl.
