Steer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Steer will hit the bench for the series finale after he started in each of the last nine games while going 8-for-36 (.222 average) with three home runs and seven RBI. He'll give way to Stuart Fairchild in left field Sunday.
