Blackmon is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Atlanta.
Blackmon has seen his playing time taper off lately, as this is the second game in a row and the sixth time over the last 12 contests that he's been on the bench. Part of the reasoning behind fewer starts for the 38-year-old is getting more of a look at younger players. However, with lefty Chris Sale on the bump for Atlanta, there's a decent chance Blackmon would have sat out anyhow. Drew Romo will get a start at designated hitter Tuesday.
