The Rockies outrighted Julien to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.
Julien was booted off the 40-man roster earlier this week, but he will remain in the organization after passing through waivers. The 27-year-old infielder has slashed .208/.322/.292 over 276 plate appearances this season with the Rockies.
