Tovar (hip) has resumed batting and fielding practice as well as running the bases, MLB.com reports.
Tovar has been sidelined since April 16 due to a hip injury that has been nagging him for much of the season. He has now cleared a significant milestone in his recovery, and the shortstop will rehab with Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, per Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com.
