Goodman went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Padres.
Goodman has gone just 6-for-37 (.162) over 15 games since the start of July. He briefly earned a larger role in late June, but he's since slipped into a short-side platoon role as a depth outfielder. He hasn't done much to receive more playing time, posting a .183/.219/.401 slash line with eight homers, 23 RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base over 151 plate appearances this year.
