Bryant is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.
Bryant is slashing just .231/.348/.308 in 11 games since returning from a back injury, which is actually an improvement over the .149/.273/.255 line he produced before getting hurt. With Bryant sitting for the series opener, Jacob Stallings will start at designated hitter while Elehuris Montero covers first base for the Rockies.
