Holder signed a minor-league contract with the Rockies on Dec. 15.
Holder's deal likely includes an invitation to big-league spring training, whenever that might be held while MLB's lockout remains ongoing. A 2015 first-round pick of the Yankees, Holder advanced to Triple-A for the first time in his career in 2021. The 27-year-old infielder saw action in 78 games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, slashing .216/.295/.272 with a home run and two stolen bases across 287 plate appearances.
