Freeman (undisclosed) allowed a hit and a walk with a strikeout in one inning versus Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.
Freeman missed most of May with the undisclosed injury. The 34-year-old hasn't appeared at the major-league level since he logged seven outings with the Nationals in 2020, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend most of 2022 with Triple-A Omaha.
