Haase went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Friday's 5-4 win over the White Sox.
Haase struck out in his first at-bat Friday when he entered the game as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the eighth, but he blasted a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth to help the Tigers secure a comeback win. The 29-year-old should see a fair amount of playing time this year since he has the ability to play behind the dish, at first base and in the outfield.
