Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Monday that Flaherty is scheduled to start Thursday against the Royals, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Flaherty almost surely isn't going to wind up taking the ball for the Tigers that day, however, as he's fully expected to be moved elsewhere prior to Tuesday's trade deadline. The righty had been scheduled to start Monday versus the Guardians, but the Tigers ultimately scratched him so as not to expose him to a potential injury ahead of the trade deadline.
