Montero is scheduled to pitch Monday against the Nationals, piggybacking off starter River Ryan, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander has lasted exactly four frames in each of his past three starts, surrendering 10 runs on 16 hits with a 10:5 K:BB. Montero will now be bumped from the rotation, but he could still have a sizable workload Monday since Ryan is likely to have a limited workload in his Tigers debut.
