Montero is scheduled to pitch Monday against the Nationals, piggybacking with starter River Ryan, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Montero has lasted exactly four frames in each of his past three starts, surrendering 10 runs on 16 hits with a 10:5 K:BB. The right-hander will be bumped from the rotation, but he could still have a sizable workload Monday since Ryan is likely to have a limited workload in his Tigers debut.
