Burrows was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.
Burrows hasn't accomplished much in 11 major-league innings this season for the Tigers and Twins, struggling to a 13.91 ERA and 2.36 while walking more batters (10) than he's struck out (eight). Nick Vincent was added to the big-league roster in a corresponding move.
