Sanchez will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth Friday against the Guardians.
Although Sandy Leon is starting behind the dish Friday, the Twins will keep Sanchez in the lineup as the designated hitter. Sanchez currently holds a .688 OPS this season, but that number jumps up to .799 when he serves as Minnesota's DH.
