The Twins signed Gallegos to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
The veteran right-hander elected free agency after being designated for assignment by the Cardinals last week, and it didn't take long for him to latch on with a new organization. Gallegos struggled to a 6.53 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 21:10 K:BB over 20.2 innings before being let go by St. Louis, but he filled a high-leverage role and recorded 38 saves and 56 holds across the previous three seasons.
