Perez signed a minor-league contract Wednesday with the Twins, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
Perez is currently playing for Team Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic and will head over to Twins camp in Florida whenever his tournament run is complete. The 31-year-old did not reach the majors in 2022 and holds a career .250/.280/.382 batting line at baseball's highest level, but he can offer organizational depth at a range of different positions for Minnesota.
