Bell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Royals.

Bell built off of his last performance, going deep for the second consecutive game with a solo home run in the ninth inning. His shot was part of back-to-back homers that blew the game open, with Bell's homer extending the lead to four and putting things out of reach. The 33-year-old has quickly emerged as a strong point in this Twins lineup, leading the team in RBI through the early stretch. That production has been especially important for a Minnesota offense that struggled last season, finishing 25th in total offense.
