Minaya was designated for assignment by the Twins on Tuesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Minaya spent just four days on the Twins' roster and did not get into a game. He owns a 3.51 ERA in 74.1 innings of relief over the last two seasons, so it's possible he could generate some interest on the waiver wire.
