Minaya was designated for assignment Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Minaya was called up Friday and made two scoreless appearances, but he will cede his roster spot to Trevor Megill. Minaya remained with the Twins after being designated for assignment by the team in early June, but it remains to be seen if he will do the same this time around.
