Wallner is absent from the lineup in Tuesday's game in Tampa Bay.
Wallner has been given a few starts versus lefties lately, but he'll begin this one on the bench as the Rays send southpaw Jeffrey Springs to the bump. It will be Jose Miranda in the designated-hitter slot for the Twins.
