Kepler is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.
Kepler will get the night off Wednesday with the Twins employing a righty-heavy lineup against Royals starter Danny Duffy. Kepler's replacement in the outfield, Logan Schafer, also hits left-handed, but will get the nod because he is considered the better defender of the two.
