Jeffers went 2-for-5 with two RBI in Sunday's 7-4 victory over the Royals.
Jeffers got his first start of the season and picked up where he left off from a hot spring training during which he hit three home runs with a .891 OPS. Jeffers will serve as the backup to Christian Vazquez but could get close to half the playing time.
