Red Sox starter Wade Miley earned a win over Atlanta on Monday, evening his record at 6-6.
Miley won for the fifth time in the last seven decisions. He went 6 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He walked two and struck out a season-high eight.
"He had great stuff. He kept everything down," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "We were swinging at fastballs down, he didn’t give us anything to hit. And also that made his change-up, his off-speed, even more effective."
Miley's next start will be Sunday at Kansas City.
