Pereira was removed from Wednesday's game against the Marlins ahead of the bottom of the fifth inning due to left ankle soreness.
Pereira struck out in both of his trips to the plate and may have tweaked the ankle while batting in the top of the fifth. Derek Hill stepped in as the replacement in right field for Pereira, whom the White Sox are viewing as day-to-day heading into their three-game series with Toronto that begins Friday.
