Anderson exited Tuesday's game against the Yankees with a bruised left ankle, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Anderson will be evaluated further Wednesday, but for now he is considered day-to-day. Yolmer Sanchez or Jose Rondon are likely to fill in at shortstop if Anderson is forced to miss any time.
