Anderson will head back to the bench as expected Friday against the Rangers.

The expectation when Anderson returned from a hamstring strain Tuesday was that he'd play every other day for some time. It's not clear how long the White Sox intend to continue that pattern, but they've stuck to it for four games thus far. Romy Gonzalez will be the shortstop Friday, but Anderson should return to the lineup Saturday if the pattern continues.
