Yankees' Spencer Jones: Idle against southpaw

Jones is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

The Yankees will go with a right-handed-heavy lineup to counter White Sox southpaw Anthony Kay, so Jones will retreat to the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Ryan McMahon and J.C. Escarra. Amed Rosario will step in for McMahon at third base and will bat third. After covering left field Tuesday in the series opener, Cody Bellinger will slide over to center in place of Jones on Wednesday.
