Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish had a perfect game bid ruined in the sixth inning against the Astros on Friday, and failed to factor into the decision.
Matt Dominguez broke up his perfect game bid with a leadoff single in the sixth, the only hit allowed on the night by Darvish. The right-hander surrendered only one hit and one walk while striking out nine over eight scoreless innings pitched.
Darvish has not permitted a run over his first 15 innings pitched. He'll look to extend his scoreless streak on Wednesday at home against Seattle.
