Dyson went 1-for-2 with a walk and two stolen bases in Monday's 7-3 win over the Orioles. Getting the start in center field and batting ninth for his new club, Dyson did what he does best, swiping second and third in the third inning with two outs. The 37-year-old likely won't see much playing time in Toronto, especially with George Springer back in action, but Dyson still has the speed to make an impact when he does find himself in the lineup. He's stolen 10 bases this season in only 136 plate appearances, the 10th time in his career he's reached double-digit thefts.

The Blue Jays activated Dyson ahead of Sunday's game against the Tigers. Toronto claimed Dyson off waivers from Kansas City on Friday, but his status was in limbo the past two days while the Blue Jays delayed making a corresponding transaction to open up a spot for him on the 26-man active roster. With the Blue Jays moving infielder Santiago Espinal (hip) to the 10-day injured list ahead of Sunday's series finale, Dyson is now eligible to make his Toronto debut. He'll likely serve as a fourth or fifth outfield for the Blue Jays for the final month of the season, making most of his impact as a pinch runner off the bench or as a late-inning defensive replacement.

Dyson was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays on Friday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports. Dyson will get to play for a contender down the stretch, though whether the Blue Jays still count in that category following their recent slide is debatable. He'll give the team extra depth in center field and provides speed off the bench, but George Springer is nearing a return from a knee injury, so Dyson's unlikely to earn regular at-bats. Even if injuries open up unexpected playing time, his .214/.290/.292 slash line over the last four years combined makes him an unappealing fantasy option for anyone who isn't desperate for steals.

Dyson went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to Houston. The outfielder worked the back half of a double steal with Michael Taylor in the third inning. Dyson started in right field Tuesday as part of the ripple effect from Carlos Santana (hip) being out of the lineup. Through 130 plate appearances, Dyson is 8-for-11 in stolen base attempts while adding 10 RBI and 13 runs scored.

Dyson went 1-for-4 in Thursday's 6-3 extra-inning loss to Houston. While not particularly notable alone, Dyson's single Thursday ended an 0-for-16 skid at the plate dating back to July 31. The outfielder continues to see limited playing time, drawing just 126 plate appearances in 71 contests. He's added seven stolen bases, nine RBI, 13 runs scored and a pair of doubles.
