The Marlins outrighted Andriese to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday. Andriese has now cleared waivers twice this season after being removed from Miami's 40-man roster. Andriese could have elected free agency, but he looks as though he'll be receptive to returning to Jacksonville.

The Marlins designated Andriese for assignment Sunday. He'll cede his spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster to right-hander Edward Cabrera (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list ahead of his start Sunday against the White Sox. After being called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Andriese appeared in relief later that day in the Marlins' game against the Red Sox, taking a loss while giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits and one walk over one inning.

The Marlins selected Andriese's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. Andriese was removed from the 40-man roster back in April following a brief stint in the majors but has made his way back onto the roster. He'll provide Miami's bullpen with some length.

The Marlins designated Andriese for assignment Saturday. Just nine days after being selected from Triple-A Jacksonville, Andriese will once again be without a 40-man roster spot. The 34-year-old right-hander allowed three earned runs across five innings over three appearances during his stint in the majors and will most likely pass through waivers unclaimed. Calvin Faucher was recalled from Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

The Marlins selected Andriese's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday. Andriese will provide a fresh arm for a Miami bullpen that needs it. The 34-year-old right-hander hasn't pitched in the majors since 2021 and held a 6.05 ERA at the Triple-A level in 2023.
