The LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization re-signed Dean to a one-year, $1.7 million contract Wednesday, Jee-ho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports. Dean slashed .319/.384/.573 with 32 home runs and a franchise-record 132 RBI for the Twins in 2024. This will be his third straight year in the KBO after spending parts of five seasons in the majors.

Dean re-signed Friday with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. The new deal is worth $1.1 million in guaranteed money and there is another $200,000 available in performance-based bonuses. Dean, 30, excelled in his first taste of KBO action this past year, slashing .314/.376/.517 with 23 home runs and 95 RBI across 139 games. He had a .228/.286/.390 slash line over parts of five MLB seasons between 2018-22.

Dean was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday. After being sent down by the Giants in September, Dean will lose his spot on the 40-man roster now that the offseason is underway. It's possible he serves as a non-roster invitee this spring.

Dean was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. Dean's first stint in the big leagues this season lasted only a few days, as he went 3-for-8 with a walk and a run scored over three contests. Willie Calhoun and Cole Waites had their contracts selected and Patrick Mazeika was designated for assignment in corresponding moves.
